Welcome To Thompsorado

I completed the Colorado Ride 2 End Alzheimer's in Fort Collins June 6, 2026. I raised more than $1,300 for Alzheimer's Research.

Hi, I’m Nick Thompson.

I’m a Longmont resident, transit advocate, cyclist, and former journalist who believes local stories deserve attention.

I launched Thompsorado to cover Longmont, Boulder County, public transit, local government, growth and development, and exploring Colorado without a car.

Over the past year, I’ve attended public meetings, filed public records requests, interviewed elected officials and transportation leaders, and reported on issues that affect local residents.

Recent coverage has included:

The name Thompsorado is a combination of my last name and the state I now call home.
